Return to playing Squash at Chesham 1879 from 1st August .

Hi all Many thanks for your patience whilst waiting to hear when we can resume playing some form of squash and racketball at Chesham 1879. England Squash published, last week, full guidance for a planned return to play in England on 25 July. We have thought long and hard about how to implement this guidance and how we plan to return to squash activity at the club. Firstly, here are the permitted ways to play squash. So as you can see, this is a PARTIAL RETURN to playing squash and we do need everyone to observe these guidelines so that we can continue towards a return to normal playing conditions. ES have confirmed that the priority is safety first rather than a return at any costs.

« The UK Government announced on Thursday that indoor sports facilities in England can reopen from 25th July with social distancing in place. England Squash are in the process of interpreting what this means for squash and will offer guidelines next week. These are likely to include restrictions on the use of changing rooms, cleaning of courts post play etc. Once these guidelines are public we will need to make them fit the environment we have at Chesham 1879 to ensure that anything we do is both safe and practical. 🚨NEWS | the UK Government has just announced that indoor sports facilities in England can reopen from 25th July with social distancing in place. In the meantime, we are interpreting the newly-released Government guidance. We will finalise and release full guidance for clubs and venues to facilitate safe play next week. Latest club tennis playing guidance

Dear Members The LTA recently issued some new guidance recently for venues, coaches and players with which we need to comply. This is in addition to the over-arching government guidance that you can meet outside in groups of up to 6 people from different households, following social distancing guidelines. The two new pieces of guidance from the LTA are as follows: Any individual groups should not interact with anyone outside of the group they are attending the venue with (e.g. players on another court or in a different coaching group) While multiple group activity can take place side by side, larger group activity such as Club Nights, club mix-in sessions or Open Days that involve peo
